Abstract

Ultra-high-resolution multi-channel seismic survey is a critical offshore technological method in fields such as resource exploration, seabed surveys, and geohazard risk assessments. It enables fine detection of shallow seabed structures with sub-meter resolution based on the seismic imaging technology. From the 21st Century, the critical techniques include all-solid-state switching pulsed plasma sparker, high-density multi-channel streamer, and data recording and processing systems have been overcome. As a result, the Kuiyang series products have been used for 2D, 3D, and deep-towed ultra-high-resolution seismic surveys. Chinese offshore ultra-high-resolution multi-channel seismic survey technology has achieved remarkable progress in both system development and their applications. Typical applications include site surveys of coastal nuclear power plants, ocean tunnels, and gas hydrate exploration.
