The Luoneng geothermal anomaly is located on the crest of the Hongshanwan anticline, where extensive faulting provides favorable structural conditions. This medium-low temperature conductive geothermal system is hosted in Sinian-Cambrian carbonate formations, which are characterized by sufficient fracture permeability and intact caprock. Geothermal fluids migrate along secondary faults and are discharged at the surface as moderate-temperature springs. To elucidate the hydrochemical evolution processes and genetic mechanisms of the Luoneng geothermal anomaly in Wuding County, Yunnan Province, two geothermal areas two geothermal areas, namely Reshuitang and Yijingan, were investigated. Integrated methodologies, including field geological surveys, hydrochemical analyses, stable hydrogen and oxygen isotope determinations, and geothermal reservoir temperature estimations, were employed to systematically examine the hydrochemical characteristics, recharge sources, and genetic conditions of the geothermal reservoirs were systematically examined. The results indicate that the hydrochemical type of the hot spring water in the Reshuitang area is predominantly HCO3·SO4-Ca, while that in the Yijingan area is primarily HCO3-Ca·Mg. The hydrochemical composition of both is mainly controlled by the weathering and dissolution of carbonate rocks, with cation exchange occurring during upward flow and partial mixing with shallow groundwater. The geothermal water in both the Reshuitang and Yijingan areas originates from atmospheric precipitation, with recharge elevations of 2 266 m and 1 248 m, respectively. The thermal reservoir temperatures range from 76~81 ℃ and 76~79 ℃, with cold-hot water mixing ratios of 55%~67% and 86%~97%, respectively. The geothermal water circulation depths are 1 963~2 068 m and 1 964~1 994 m, respectively. The total static geothermal resource is approximately 3.24×1014 kJ. The Reshuitang area is identified as a priority development zone, favorable for health and tourism, while the Yijingan area be identified as a potential development zone, primarily for agricultural irrigation and heating development.
