Abstract

To address the challenge of wind-resistant design for fixed photovoltaic (PV) brackets in the complex mountainous terrain of Yunnan, pulsating wind time-history data were generated based on the harmonic synthesis method and Davenport spectrum. Combined with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) numerical simulation and ANSYS transient dynamic analysis, the influence laws of PV bracket inclination angles (18°, 21°, 25°) and average wind speeds (5, 10, 15 m/s) on wind load shape coefficients and wind vibration coefficients were systematically investigated. A finite element model of the fixed PV bracket was constructed. The shear stress transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model was used to simulate flow field characteristics, and the one-way fluid-structure interaction method was adopted to analyze wind-induced effects. The results indicate that the PV panel inclination angle significantly affects the shape coefficient: at an inclination angle of 25°, the average shape coefficient reaches 1.157, which is approximately 16% higher than that at 18°, while the maximum influence of wind speed variation on the shape coefficient is only 4.3%. The wind-induced vibration coefficient of the purlin changes with its position, increasing as it approaches the top of the photovoltaic panel and growing nonlinearly with wind speed. Modal analysis shows that the natural frequency of the bracket (2.73~2.97 Hz) is far from the main energy frequency band of pulsating wind (0.5~1.0 Hz), indicating a low risk of structural resonance. The influence of PV panel inclination and pulsating wind speed on the shape coefficient, as well as the distribution law of wind vibration coefficients of bracket purlins, were explored. The research provides a theoretical basis and engineering reference for the wind-resistant design of mountainous PV brackets.
