With the advancement of offshore wind power development into deep and far seas, floating foundations and their mooring systems have become a research focus in the current marine engineering field. Air-floating structures, leveraging their excellent buoyancy adjustment capability and stability performance, demonstrate broad application prospects and stand as a highly potential foundation form for deep sea development. To clarify the dynamic response mechanism of air-floating multi-bucket foundations under taut-mooring, a 1∶100 scale physical model was fabricated, and wave flume model tests under regular waves were conducted. These tests systematically investigated the influence laws of factors such as water depth, draft, and anchoring distance on mooring line tension and internal air cushion pressure. The results indicate these as follows. With the increase in wave period, the RAOs (response amplitude operators) of mooring line tension and air cushion pressure exhibit characteristics of wave-frequency response in small periods and slow-drift response in large periods. As water depth increases, the tensions of the front and rear mooring lines show an opposite variation trend during wave-frequency response, while displaying a consistent variation trend during slow-drift motion, and the air cushion pressure in the front bucket exhibits a more pronounced oscillation trend than that in the rear bucket. When draft increases, the variation in the amplitude of the rear mooring line tension is more significant than that of the front mooring line tension, and the air cushion pressure shows an overall decreasing trend. An increase in anchorage distance leads to an increase in oscillating motion, and the variation amplitudes of the front mooring line tension and air cushion pressure in front bucket are smaller than those of the rear mooring line tension and air cushion pressure in rear bucket, respectively. The results can provide a reference for the design and operation of air-floating bucket foundations with taut-mooring.
