Aiming at the problems such as low connected porosity, limited plant root expansion and unstable plant survival rate of traditional vegetation concrete used for bank slope protection, active porous riparian concrete (APRC) was prepared. To explore the ability of different active opening rates and numbers of openings on plant growth and resistance to erosion by riverbank water flow, APRC samples with active opening rates of 0, 12%, 18% and 24% and the number of openings of 0, 1, 2 and 4 were set up. Cynodon dactylon was selected for the plant growth model test to analyze the variation patterns of soil pH, the number of germinations and growth height of Cynodon dactylon. The self-designed water flow scouring device was used to carry out scouring tests at three different flow rates of 0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 m/s, and the variation laws of the soil loss amount of the sample and the scouring coefficient of the cover soil were analyzed. Results show that active perforation is beneficial for the growth of Cynodon dactylon inside APRC. The phytogenic performance and anti-scouring performance of APRC are positively correlated with the opening rate and the number of openings. The planting effect of APRC is the best at a 24% opening rate. Among the APRC with 4 holes, the number of germinated Cynodon dactylon seeds is the highest, and among the APRC with 1 hole, the growth height of Cynodon dactylon is the highest. The soil loss of each APRC under different water flow scouring velocities was less than that of the vegetation concrete without openings. Among them, the APRC covering soil with a 12% opening rate and 4 openings had the best scouring resistance performance at a flow velocity of 0.2 m/s.
