The influence of wettability reversal chemical agents on oil film detachment from reservoir matrix was investigated through dissolution experiments conducted on high-strength and high-ductility magnesium alloys used in fully soluble bridge plugs. The degradation rate variation patterns of alloy materials under crude oil adsorption with different viscosities were systematically examined, along with the degradation rate recovery mechanism under the combined effects of crude oil and wettability reversal chemical agents. Experimental results reveal that higher viscosity crude oil exhibits more significant impacts on alloy dissolution rates. Elevated Cl- concentration in formation fluid is observed to intensify alloy dissolution reactions, accompanied by increased hydrogen gas production and accelerated degradation. Although the chemical agent itself shows no direct influence on metal dissolution rate, it is demonstrated to induce wettability reversal on alloy surfaces. A 1% concentration chemical solution achieves oil-wet to water-wet transition within 7 minutes and complete crude oil desorption from alloy surfaces within 3 hours, thereby restoring normal dissolution rates while effectively inhibiting oil film reformation. Higher chemical concentrations are found to shorten both wettability reversal duration and dissolution rate recovery time. The synergistic mechanism combining wettability reversal chemical agents with hydrogen bubble effects proves effective in continuously removing and suppressing oil film formation on alloy surfaces, ensuring reliable bridge plug dissolution. This methodology presents distinct economic and operational advantages compared to traditional coating or surface treatment approaches for bridge plug alloys.
