With the significant improvement of the staged fracturing transformation technology of horizontal Wells, soluble bridge plugs have become one of the important tools for interlayer sealing. Compared with conventional drillable bridge plugs, soluble bridge plugs can realize full wellbore diameter and be quickly put into production after self-dissolution without drilling and grinding, having the advantages of low operating cost, short construction period and high mining efficiency. And low production in fracturing operations can be solved efficiently. It can be more in line with the demands of cost reduction and efficiency improvement when in oil and gas well site. Based on this, the research progress of soluble plugs at home and abroad was mainly investigated, the key technologies of fracturing soluble plugs was introduced, the status quo of various fracturing soluble plugs was summarized, their performance characteristics was compared and analyzed, and the difficulties and shortcomings of various soluble plugs was described in detail from the aspect of process technology. On account of the comparison and analysis of various types of bridge plugs and the requirements of unconventional gas well conditions for underground fracturing tools, the future development of fracturing soluble bridge plugs was proposed below.
