To meet the small-batch production and personalized design needs of the precious metal jewelry industry, the limitations of traditional deep-drawing molds, which can only produce single products, were addressed. A new type of adjustable die for non-Newtonian fluid deep-drawing was proposed. In this new mold, the traditional die was replaced by vertically adjustable, parallel, multi-contact threaded positioning rods. Through a specific mechanism, rapid adjustment and trimming of the die were achieved, and the shear-thickening properties of non-Newtonian fluids were utilized to provide resistance for the die. Taking the deep-drawing of S999 silver as an example, the entire stamping process was numerically simulated and analyzed using COMSOL simulation software. The simulation results demonstrate that, under the counteraction of the non-Newtonian fluid, the mold is able to provide sufficient resistance and successfully achieve the deep-drawing of S999 silver. The feasibility of this new mold design was verified. The limitations of traditional deep-drawing molds are successfully overcome, and new insights are provided for the design of personalized molds in the precious metal jewelry industry.
