The deep PH formation in the East China Sea has discovered oil and gas reservoirs and successfully developed them, but its reservoir depth is relatively deep, the horizontal variation of sand bodies is fast, the distribution and stacking relationship of sand bodies are complex, the distribution pattern is unclear, and the prediction of gas content is difficult, which restricts further precise and efficient development in the area. To address this issue, comprehensive research on gas content prediction technology in target areas was conducted from the perspectives of elasticity and attenuation, and a key technology series for gas content prediction in target areas was established. The elastic angle was mainly constructed through rock physics analysis to determine the sensitive gas bearing indicator factor, and then the elastic parameters were obtained based on high-precision inversion before stack to calculate the indicator factor. The attenuation angle mainly adopts QgVA (quality factor gradient varies with angle) technology developed by the Geophysical Exploration Institute, taking into account the differences in the gradient of the gas bearing reservoir spectrum with the change of incident angle. Finally, a composite gas sensitive attribute technology was proposed to effectively integrate the advantages of fluid factors and attenuation attributes, further enhancing the ability of gas detection and recognition. The actual application effect shows that this technology can effectively improve the accuracy of reservoir gas content prediction, efficiently support the exploration and development work of deep PH formation, and can be promoted and applied in similar research areas.
