The traditional village is an important carrier for the inheritance of farming culture, and its scope of protection is moving from monolithic to clustered. Its centralized zoning focuses on physical proximity and is carried out within a spatial framework of high density of cultural resources. However, "people" is the core of the cultural ecosystem of the village, and the actual needs of the local residents have received less attention in the centralized zoning. Based on the three dimensions of cultural environment, cultural forms and residents' willingness, a multi-scaled zoning identification model was constructed including geospatial, cultural elements, industrial economy, ecological environment and social participation. The spatial pattern and social and cultural refinement of 13 Chinese traditional villages in Leizhou, Guangdong Province were analyzed, by using the geographic concentration index, social survey analysis and the superimposed map of historical information. structural conservation interviews with residents were conducted. The spatial pattern of the 13 Chinese traditional villages in Leizhou, Guangdong Province was analyzed, using the geographic concentration index, social and cultural refinement, conducting in-depth interviews with the residents on the structural protection of the villages, and evaluating the value of the cultural ecosystem. Finally, a three-tier contiguous conservation area of "area-village-town-core village" was identified, and a development strategy was proposed.
