In order to investigate the characteristics of attentional networks in the brain function of flight trainees, 34 pilots (flight group) and 44 ordinary college students (control group) completed atentional-network test(ANT) tasks based on Posner and Peterson's model (alerting, orienting, and executive control). There were totally four conditions. Compared the behavioral data and event-related potentia(ERP) data differences between the two groups. The baseline conditions, orientating conditions and executing control conditions all show that pilot population responses significantly faster than general population. At the same time, processing process of pilot population is significantly faster than general population in the directional condition, and the electroencephalography (EEG) results are consistent with the behavioral results. The P3 amplitude representing the reaction of pilots is significantly smaller than that of the general population, indicating that pilots need to consume less attentional resources to complete the same task. The conclusion that the pilot group pays better attention to network function provides behavioral and EEG basis for the study of pilot brain function, as well as objective basis for pilot selection and training.
