A large number of ditch slag dumps are set up in Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project, some of which are distributed in the high seismic intensity area. Once the instability occurs under the action of earthquakes, it may further induce major geological disasters such as landslide and debris flow. The seismic time-history response of 15 typical slag dumps in central Yunnan diversion project was analyzed, the distribution of peak acceleration was studied, and the influence of foundation slope and wide platform on peak acceleration was discussed. The equation of acceleration amplification coefficient was fitted, and the influence of platform and "concave" terrain on acceleration amplification coefficient was studied. The distribution characteristics of maximum total stress and peak dynamic shear stress for three landforms of slag dump were analyzed. The results show that the local whipping effect will be formed on the platform, and the acceleration will be further amplified. The direction of acceleration increase is roughly perpendicular to the slope of the foundation, and the "concave" terrain will weaken the amplification effect of earthquake acceleration. The maximum total stress and peak dynamic shear stress of the slag dump generally appear at the contact position between the slag body and the foundation corresponding to the maximum pile height. When the slope of the foundation has a sudden change or large fluctuation, the maximum total stress and peak dynamic shear stress will increase at corresponding position. The research results provide support for the design and safety and stability analysis of ditch slag dump.
