To clarify the sedimentary environment and climate change trends in Zhengzhou area since the late Late Pleistocene, by comprehensively analyzing the grain size changes of the sediments in the ZK05 borehole in front of Songshan Mountain in the west of Zhengzhou, and based on the precise dating framework, the sedimentary environment and climate changes since the late Late Pleistocene (18 ka) were analyzed. Analysis shows that the sedimentary environment of ZK05 borehole during the period of 18 ~ 14.9 ka (first stage) was beach sedimentation, with a cold and arid climate. During the second stagethis period(14.9 ~ 6.38 ka), the river water dynamics significantly decreased, and the sedimentary environment was floodplain sedimentation, with the climate gradually becoming warm and humid. During the third stage period(6.38 ~ 2.73 ka), the hydrodynamic force decreased significantly compared to the previous stage, and the sedimentary environment was floodplain sedimentation, the climate is warm and humid. Since the fourth stage(2.73 ka), the sedimentary environment during this period has been riverbed facies, with significantly enhanced hydrodynamics and a warm and humid climate. Through granularity and chronological analysis, a foundation has been laid for the study of sedimentary environment evolution and climate change in the region.
