Abstract

It is very important to clarify the diversion mechanism and main control factors of multi-stage temporary plugging in the seam to optimize the temporary plugging scheme in the seam. The finite element method was used to establish a multi-stage temporary plugging diversion fracture propagation model in the fracture, and the influence of Young's modulus, tensile strength, in-situ stress difference, and injection displacement on the diversion propagation of multi-stage temporary plugging fracture in the fracture was studied. The results show that when Young's modulus of rock increases from 22 GPa to 30 GPa, the activation time of natural fractures is shortened by 25.6%, and the fracture width is reduced from 21.86 mm to 17.71 mm, with a decrease of 18.9%. When the tensile strength of natural fractures increases from 2.5 MPa to 3.5 MPa, the activation time of natural fractures increases by 3.8%, and the fracture width increases from 28.28 mm to 29.93 mm, an increase of 5.8%. When the stress difference increases from 7 MPa to 9 MPa, the activation time of natural fractures increases by 47.4%, and the fracture width increases from 22.66 mm to 29.38 mm, an increase of 29.7%. When the injection displacement increases from 0.000 5 m2/s to 0.001 5 m2/s, the activation time of natural fractures is shortened by 75.2%, and the fracture width increases from 28.64 mm to 41.46 mm, an increase of 44.8%. The research results can provide some theoretical guidance for the optimization and effect evaluation of multi-stage temporary plugging diversion fracturing in fractures.
