Abstract

With the increasing scale of wind power and photovoltaic grid connection, the problem of renewable energy accommodation in China has gradually become prominent. In order to reduce the occurrence of wind and light abandonment, it is of great practical significance to accurately evaluate the renewable energy accommodation capacity of power system for the rational planning and medium and long-term stable operation of high-proportion renewable energy power grid. The principle of renewable energy accommodation was analyzed theoretically. Then, based on the time series production simulation method, a renewable energy accommodation capacity evaluation model considering the constraints of DC power flow, spinning reserve capacity, conventional unit output, transmission power and electrochemical energy storage was established. Finally, using the IEEE30 node system as an example, the renewable energy accommodation level of the system was evaluated based on the actual data in Xinjiang, and the accuracy and validity of the proposed renewable energy accommodation capacity evaluation model of the electric power system were verified from the three aspects of the model solving, the model comparing and the parameter sensitivity analysis.
