Abstract

In order to guide the validation of the domestic autonomous integrated analysis code for severe accidents, research and practice on the phenomenon identification and ranking tables (PIRT) method for severe accidents in pressurized water reactors were carried out. Based on the study of severe accident phenomenology and the development process of PIRT, and referring to existing international research foundations, the development process of PIRT for severe accidents in pressurized water reactors was determined, along with the specific screening principles, evaluation criteria, and rating methods required for implementation. On the basis of the above research, the PIRT table for severe accidents in pressurized water reactors was established. The research results can provide guidance for the validation of severe accident analysis code for pressurized water reactors and related experimental research work.
