Abstract

The airfoil has an obvious effect on the aerodynamic performance of the lift wing of high-speed train. In order to further improve the performance of the lift wing, it is necessary to optimize the airfoil and shape structure of the lift wing of maglev train. Airfoil NACA BR 63-55-12 was selected as the basic airfoil of the lifting wing of the high-speed train. The combination of genetic algorithm and CFD was used to optimize the basic airfoil, and the aerodynamic performance of the basic airfoil and the optimized airfoil was compared and analyzed. On this basis, the aerodynamic simulation model of the lifting wing was established. The influence of the shape of winglets and support rods on aerodynamic performance was discussed. The results indicate that the aerodynamic characteristics of the optimised airfoil are significantly improved, in which the lift coefficient is increased by 23.2%, the drag coefficient is reduced by 0.67%, and the lift-to-drag ratio is increased. The installation of winglets at the wing tip of the lift airfoil enhances the vortex dissipation at the wing tip, and the lift-to-drag ratio of the lift airfoil with the installation of the winglets is increased by about 6.7% on the average. The drag of the strut bar of the lift airfoil with an elliptical shape is the smallest among the three cross-sections, and the drag of the strut bar is the largest among the three cross-sectional shapes.
