Abstract

Frictional wear of brake discs is an important cause of disc brake failure in high-speed trains, and the arrangement of friction blocks is an important factor affecting the maximum wear depth of brake discs. In order to study the influence of the arrangement of friction blocks on the maximum wear depth of the brake disc, the change of friction temperature, contact stress and relative slip speed in the braking process were considered, based on the Archard wear model for modification, using ANSYS finite element simulation software, the three-dimensional transient model of the brake disc-brake pads was established, the train through the No.42 turnouts in the emergency braking situation was adopted, the maximum wear of the brake disc friction surface under different friction block arrangements was simulated calculation. The maximum wear depth of the friction surface of the brake disc was calculated under different friction block arrangements. The maximum contact stress was analyzed, and the parameter "stress wear factor" was proposed to characterize the effect of stress on the maximum wear depth. The radial nodal wear depth was extracted, the wear morphology of the friction surface was analyzed, and the influence of different arrangements of friction blocks on the wear depth of the brake disc was given. The research results provide the theoretical basis and new ideas for improving the wear of brake discs and provide a reference for the design of the brake pad structure of railway braking systems in the future.
