A micro-power photovoltaic power generation device is significantly influenced by illumination variations, leading to substantial fluctuations in power output. Furthermore, rapid degradation caused by dust accumulation is observed over time. To mitigate these issues, a wind energy harvesting structure was integrated into the system, providing supplementary power during nighttime and prolonged rainy conditions. Additionally, the wind-induced vibrations were utilized to remove dust from the surface of the micro-photovoltaic panel. A power management unit was designed to address the power generation characteristics of such hybrid energy harvesting systems. The unit was primarily based on photovoltaic energy harvesting, with wind energy harvesting serving as a supplementary source. The CN3795 and LTC3588-1 power management chips were selected for implementation. Through the coordination of input voltage, power and circuit component parameters, the design not only enhanced the efficiency of wind energy harvesting but also compensated for the insufficient photovoltaic energy harvesting under low-illumination conditions, such as nighttime environments. Experimental results indicate that the optimized power management module is capable of capturing at least 2 mW of wind energy during periods of no illumination, ensuring continuous device operation. Furthermore, the issues related to large photovoltaic power fluctuations and impedance mismatch in wind energy harvesting are effectively resolved. The hybrid energy harvesting power management module is demonstrated to significantly improves the stability of the device's power supply.
