Gassy soft soils are widely distributed in coastal regions, and their creep behavior significantly impacts the long-term stability of engineering structures. However, existing research has predominantly focused on saturated soft soils, lacking systematic analysis of gas content effects, which hinders the refinement of relevant engineering design theories. To address this, the study employed a zeolite-based method to prepare gassy soft soil specimens with varying gas contents (8.36%~20.68%). A series of consolidated drained creep tests under step-loading conditions were conducted using the LFTD1805 stress-path triaxial testing system. The experimental results showed that compared with saturated soft soil, the creep deformation and creep rate of gassy soft soil were significantly larger, and the higher the gas content, the greater the creep deformation and creep rate. On the basis of the results of triaxial creep tests, an empirical creep model for gassy soft clay considering the impact of gas content was constructed. Comparing the calculated values of the model with the experimental values, it was found that the predicted curve of the proposed model matched well with the three-dimensional creep test curves, indicating that the model is suitable for describing the creep characteristics of gassy soft soil.
