Abstract:During the production process of horizontal well in heterogeneous bottom water reservoirs, the sudden influx of water ridges can lead to a rapid increase in water content and a short oil recovery period for low to medium water content reservoirs. In order to achieve stable oil and water control development, the production flow characteristics of horizontal wells under multi-level barrier sand control and water control structures are analyzed, and a multi-level barrier numerical model combining sand control and intelligent water control screen is established to simulate and analyze the reservoir fluid properties, gravel filling sand control structures, and water control performance of different types of water control valve structures. The results show that as the viscosity of the reservoir fluid decreases and the water content increases, the pressure difference of the fluid passing through the water control valve increases. The sand control barriers formed by different gravel sizes and pre-packed gravel screens have a minimal impact on the flow rate of produced water. The smaller the diameter of the ICD nozzle, the smaller the volume fraction of the water phase downstream, the larger the size of the floating disc, the greater the pressure difference, and the smaller the over current flow rate. The smaller the aperture at the inlet end, the weaker the floating disk effect. Field application shows that the water control and flow limiting effect of horizontal wells is significant at the initial stage of production, and the water content control is stable at the later stage, resulting in good water control production effect, which can provide a technical basis for effective water control development in heterogeneous bottom water reservoirs.
