Zircon U-Pb Ages and its Geological Significance of Gneiss from Jitang Group in North Lancang River Suture

    北澜沧江结合带吉塘岩群变质岩作为南羌塘地体的结晶基底,蕴含了丰富的地质信息,但对其内部构造—热事件记录的反演还有待进一步深化。文章选取吉塘岩群片麻岩开展了系统的锆石U-Pb年代学研究。结果表明,片麻岩中主要发育3组岩浆成因的碎屑锆石(980~920 Ma、780~740 Ma和570~520 Ma)、1组岩浆锆石(230~200 Ma)和1组变质成因锆石年龄集中区(120~80 Ma)。其中,岩浆成因的碎屑锆石年龄由老到新依次对应Grenville—晋宁运动过程中Rodinia超大陆的汇聚、裂解和泛非造山运动,暗示南羌塘地体在中—新元古代时期是冈瓦纳大陆的重要组成部分;晚三叠世岩浆成因锆石是龙木措—双湖—澜沧江洋向北、北东俯冲发生板片断离诱发区域岩浆活动的响应;晚白垩世变质成因锆石记录了班公湖—怒江结合带同碰撞挤压构造环境下加厚地壳的深熔作用。此外,零星分布的古老碎屑锆石年龄(2500~2100 Ma)证实,吉塘岩群变质岩物源区存在古元古代甚至更老的地壳物质。

    Abstract:

    As the crystalline basement of the south Qiangtang terrane, the metamorphic rocks from Jitang Group in the North Lancang River suture contain rich geological information, but the inversion of its internal tectonic thermal event records needs to be further deepened. Systematic zircon U-Pb chronology study was carried out on the gneiss from Jitang Group. The results show that there are mainly three groups of magmatic detrital zircon age peaks (980~920 Ma, 780~740 Ma and 570~520 Ma), one group of magmatic zircon age peaks (230~200 Ma) and one group of metamorphic zircon age peaks (120~80 Ma) in the gneiss. Among them, the age of magmatic detrital zircons from old to new corresponds to the convergence and breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent in the Grenville-Jinning movement and Pan-African orogeny, suggesting that the south Qiangtang terrane was an important part of Gondwana continent in the Meso-Neoproterozoic. Magmatic zircons in late Triassic are the response of the regional magmatic activity induced by slab break-off of Longmucuo-Shuanghu-Lancang River Tethys subduction toward the north and northeast. Metamorphic zircons in late Cretaceous record the anatexis of the thickened crust in the Bangong-Nujiang suture under syn-collisional setting. In addition, the ancient detrital zircons age (2500~2100 Ma) sporadically distributed confirms that there are Paleoproterozoic or even older crustal materials in the source area of metamorphic rocks from Jitang Group.
