Abstract:Defining the reasonable airport attraction range is the key link to build a strong civil aviation transportation network. The existing methods for defining the attraction range of airports seldom consider the ground transportation network connected with them and the influence of passengers' travel preferences. In order to improve the practicability of airport attraction range, based on the theory of urban breaking point, this paper improves some important parameters. First of all, with the comprehensive transportation as the background, it is pointed out that the developed road and railway transportation networks have great competition and promotion effect on civil airports, and a method of defining the attraction range with the travel time of ground transportation as the quantitative standard is put forward. Then, in order to analyze the behavior mechanism of passengers' travel preference, a discrete choice model is established for the ground transportation network connected with the airport. Secondly, the city where the airport in the study area is located is regarded as a whole, and the attraction scale of the airport is comprehensively determined by using the expert evaluation method and the entropy weight method, and the airport scale is revised according to the airport throughput and the city's total outbound travel. Finally, the practical operability of the improved model is verified by an example, which provides a new idea and method for determining the attraction range of multi-airport system.
