The application environments and potential applications in commerce require that wireless Ad Hoc networks should support Quality-of-Service (QoS). In a wireless Ad Hoc network, supporting quality-of-service is very difficult because of the inherent characteristics of wireless channel. It is a key to develop suitable MACprotocol inwireless Ad Hoc network, and the backoff algorithm is the focal point considered in MAC protocol.
