Abstract:The exploration region in Xiuwu basin has rugged near surface, and its low velocity layer varies greatly, resulting that there exists serious static problem. Common static correction methods have some certain assumptions, resulting that it’s of great difficulty to achieve the desired result by single static correction method in this area. Static problem has become a bottleneck restricting the region's further exploration work. Therefore, based on the near surface conditions, we proposed a joint static correction idea of combining various static correction methods to solve the serious static problem. Firstly, the first-break residual static correction method is used to refine the field statics, eliminating the errors caused by field surface survey and solving serious middle to long wavelength static problems. Then, surface-consistent residual static correction is used to correct the high-frequency residual short wavelength statics. Due to the assumption's limitation, surface-consistent residual static correction method often fails in low SNR region or the place which can't meet the assumption of surface-consistent condition. To make up for this deficiency, finally, simulated annealing and non-surface-consistent residual static correction are combined to correct the residual statics. The joint static correction idea is applied in the Xiuwu basin and the final result shows it can effectively solve the serious static problem, and the mis-tie is less than 4ms, greatly improving seismic imaging.
