Abstract:At present, occultation receiver is mostly composed of hardware devices. With the progress of computer and electronic technology, GPS software receiver has characters of low-cost, reconfiguration, strong expansibility. It shows the advantages in obtain carrier phase observations, especially in open-loop tracking in the case of lose-of-lock in closed-loop tracking. The GPS signal capture, close-loop tracking, open-loop tracking and carrier phase observations extraction processes are carried out in the experiment, which was conducted at the Jiugong Mountain. Finally, the outputs of software receiver and hardware receiver are compared. The experiment confirmed the feasibility of the software receiver.
