      针对广西南宁三塘地区膨胀土,开展了掺碎石改良膨胀土作为挡土墙填料试验研究。采用自制模型箱模拟刚性挡土墙,掺25%碎石的膨胀土作为填料,以体积含水率和侧向膨胀力为指标,观察挡土墙后不同改良条件下土体在注水后体积含水率和侧向膨胀力的变化情况,探讨体积含水率与侧向膨胀力之间的变化关系以及碎石改良膨胀土作为挡土墙填料的效果。试验结果表明:纯膨胀土的渗透性很差,在侧向受限及浸水的条件下会产生侧向膨胀力,侧向膨胀力的变化与体积含水率的变化呈正相关,但存在一定滞后性;掺碎石能显著提高膨胀土的渗透性,使得体积含水率和侧向膨胀力的变化速率加快;掺碎石膨胀土能较为有效地降低侧向膨胀力,建议采用膨胀土作为挡墙填料时掺入碎石进行改良,降低侧向膨胀力对挡墙的影响。

      For the expansive soil in Santang area of Nanning, Guangxi, an experimental study on expansive soil improved by gravel as filling material for retaining wall was carried out. A self-made model box was used to simulate a rigid retaining wall, and 25% crushed rock-filled expansive soil was used as the filler. In the experiment, the volumetric water content and lateral expansion pressure were used as indicators. After water injection, the changes in volumetric water content and lateral expansion pressure of soils under different improved conditions and at different depths after retaining walls were observed. The relationship between volumetric water content and lateral expansion pressure, and the effect of gravel-improved expansive soil as a retaining wall filler were explored. The test results show that the permeability of pure expansive soil is very poor, the pure expansive soil will produce lateral swelling force under the condition of lateral restraint and water immersion and the change of lateral swelling force is positively correlated with the change of volumetric water content but there is a certain lag. The expansive soil mixed with gravel can significantly improve the permeability of expansive soil, accelerate the changes of volume moisture content and lateral expansive force. The crushed rock-expanded soil can effectively reduce the lateral expansion force. It is suggested that gravel can be added when expansive soil is used as filler in retaining wall engineering, which can reduce the effect of lateral expansive pressure on retaining wall.
