In order to study and inspect a uranium deposit area in ordos basin, GOCAD software was used to simulate the 3d geological modeling and visual operation process of the study area. The results show that the software contains rich modeling parameters and objective requirements of researchers, with complete functions, more modules and easy operation. It can simulate and demonstrate complex geological phenomena such as hydrocarbon accumulation, deep metallogenic belt and geotectonic structure. Also it lay a good foundation for delineating the target area of the ore body, the distribution rule of the ore body below the surface, the stratigraphic identification interface and its thickness.
